An a-posteriori-true proposition is such that it’s possible to imagine alternatives. For example, the proposition that the sun rose today is a-posteriori true because although the sun did in fact rise today—I saw it with my own eyes—it’s possible to imagine that it didn’t. Contrasts with a priori.
